Better for one of them to get zero points...gets us promoted sooner.

Once we are up we can go gung ho for the title.

If Bolton and Morecambe do draw, then this time next week FGR could be just two points of automatic with two games left!

I'll take a draw please between Morecambe and Bolton or a home win. Hopefully Stevenage can frustrate Cambridge and take a point there and we see off Colchester. Not worried in the slightest about Tranmere/FGR they need snookers at this stage of the season.

The win against Stevenage was vital imo. Dropping 2 (or 3) points on a night where all immediate rivals won would have had a damaging effect on morale (and league position).

As it is the positions stay unchanged with 3 fewer points to play for.

This was the night where promotion was not confirmed but became a very strong probability.

Semantics, but I would argue it was a strong possibility several weeks ago and last night became a near certainty.

Without wishing to dampen people's spirits, but just as I am quick to point out the positive factors when we lose, I shall do so when we win.

Colchester have won their last two and have a bit of a bounce in them now. It is important for the players especially not to assume that we have the three points. As we have seen this season time and time again, just as we begin to think a game or two ahead, we get knocked off our perch.

That caution aside, it would take an unlikely set of results for promotion not to happen now, particularly with the Bolton and Morecambe head to head and our respective goal differences. It would be nice to finish the promotion job as soon as possible so that we can start to think about the title.

Colchester are virtually safe now so hopefully they take their foot off the gas slightly but I fully agree we need to go at this one like our lives depend upon it. Leave nothing on the pitch, just get that win and effectively seal promotion. Then and only then can we think about the title with a win on Tuesday.

I would rather a safe and bouncing Colchester who want a game of enjoyable football than a scrapping, desperate Colchester looking to spoil a game.

Grimsby and Barrow were in do or die scenarios at the time. Colchester aren’t and it should be a decent game.

I'd much rather a team on th eback of a couple of wins are coming to WR than a team on a bad run. We often end runs, either way.

Morecambe down to 10 men from a violent conduct red card. Good for us.

Bolton 1-0 up ;)

Can't see Morecambe getting back into that, surely? A second half winner and we are all but up.

If my phone hadn’t kept trying to autocorrect the 45+3 I would have been first!

So it all comes down to Tuesday 27th April. A point will do it.

People ask me: how do you manage to predict things with such accuracy? This is my method. I look at the games we have and I think to myself: 'what is most likely to happen?'. And then I look at other teams fixtures and I ask myself: 'what's most likely to happen?'.

And then I work out what's most likely to happen and I predict.

If we do go up on Tuesday I'm retiring from RNF. I'm too good. When Yates was sacked I told you all it would lead to certain relegation. And now this triumph. I'll go out at the top

 blind bloody luck, don't try and dress it up. 3 games from the en's of the season looked like a likely date and you got lucky. The results have been so random there's no "I looked at what would be most likely results" about it.

And right here folks is why I'm leaving. A prophet is never welcome in his home town

(To be honest Shade, i did actually run through the games on the 4th March and guessed what would happen (with a degree of error). If anyone, with the benefit of hindsight, wants to look back to that date and see our run in it was entirely predicable if (IF!) form stayed the same. Which it has)

Ben3, the prophet, me and my 'vibes', and a stopped clock being right twice a day!
