Get a load of this tool.

SC apparently failed by not getting them promoted then later dances around whether it would be a failure if he doesn't get a promotion.

He isn't disrespectful at all 'he's a brilliant manager '; how is that disrespectful? I don't like him much either, but he's decent about SC without being over the top.And of course he's going to say nonsense like ' we'll flatten them'. If it was our manager saying it about them we'd love it!

His a glorified radio presenter and he's only doing well at the vegans because he has a decent budget, anyone can be a decent manager if you got the money to spend.

"anyone can be a decent manager if you got the money to spend.". That simply isn't true. History is littered with clubs (as is the current Premier League!) who spent big & failed ) ;Leeds around 2001, Rangers, Sunderland, Man Utd now, Spurs wastingthe Bale money....& in our own league didn't Bradford have a relatively big turnover last season? Savage is doing well; he did very well at Macclesfield (with painfully little money). It might not last, & he is annoying, but I think he's proved he's not just a radio presenter.

Money is relative - Macclesfield were not skint in the Northern Premier League.

There's no doubt Savage is doing well, but let's not pretend he worked some sort of miracle at Macclesfield.

All the above misses the original point (God im getting dragged into an Internet squabble!) that Savage wasn't disrespectful to SC.

I agree, though his tack seems to have changed a bit.

He's gone from joking that Cheltenham is a smaller club, to now being massively bullish and almost curt over how FGR would do against Cheltenham, using comments like "run all over them", etc...

It didn't help that the FGR reporter on the the Stroud Times only seemed to want to ask him about Cheltenham and Cotterill to be fair to him.

Yeah I originally read more to it than there actually was but statements like this got my back up:

"If I’d have gone in there, I’d have probably kept them up"

"He nearly got Forest Green promoted last year. They failed. You know, they failed because they didn’t go up" then later says "Will it be a failure this year if we don’t go up? You know, that is a big question"

Well the Savage factor a possible reason TNT have chosen FGR as one of their TV picks on the Monday evening.

Prior to which is the 1st round draw.
