Re: Support staff
Vincent remains part of first team coaching set up.
Not sure how much it’s costing to sack Flynn and Downes, but fair play to MG, the new set up will not come cheap.
Can’t wait to see how all this pans out. No doubt we’ll see more changes in the coming months.

JP tweeting back room team will consist of:-
Russell Milton, we all know Russ.
Rob Edwards, coaching at FGR as present? Previously Paul Buckle’s assistant here for a very short while.
Keith Burt, Cotts recruitment guy at Shrewsbury.
Ashley Vincent stays on too.

Sam Mulhall has the honour (absolutely, definitely, 100%) of officiating in Steve Cotterill’s first game in charge of Town in over a quarter of a century at home to Fleetwood on Saturday. Sam is a recent addition to the EFL list having refereed in the National League for the past four seasons. Abso...

Re: Rock Bottom - so how do we get out of it?
No it wasn't - the transfer window was still in January. Free agents were until March, as it still is now. Pablo Mills joined Cheltenham Town on a loan deal from Bury on February 26, 2015, and the loan spell lasted until April 2015. He returned to Bury when his loan deal ended, as all loan players ...

Re: Rock Bottom - so how do we get out of it?
Transfer window then was in March and I recall Sparrow and Pablo Mills coming in and Paul Baker lauding them as favours that Russ Milton was able to call in. Pablo Mills was straight out the door when GJ came in. Along with Mathieu Manset. Matt Sparrow and Shaun Harrad were decent late signings but...

Re: Rock Bottom - so how do we get out of it?
Also, from the squad list above Joe Hanks was never given a fair crack in my opinion especially as that astute judge Gary Johnson never fancied him. Our current squad looks thinner, but it's only September. We're redeemable, but the next appointment is VITAL. The turnover of players in 2014/15 was ...

Re: Rock Bottom - so how do we get out of it?
Whoever it is needs to pick up form quickly. If we can say 48 points is usually enough for safety, then the new manager is going to have to start picking up around 1.2 points per game as an average, sharpish. For context, 1.2 ppg game is around upper-lower-third form over a 46 game season, so we ha...

Remedy? – Why don't we,
Rub it out and start it again?”

Re: Grimsby Town v Cheltenham Town
I was glad to see the back of Pell when he left us in 2018. Why ever did we bring him back? He hardly played for AFC Wimbledon in his last season there before re-joining us 15 months ago. One of a number of very poor signings made in the last 18 months. Hence the reason where we are now. Recruitment...

Re: Ground safety
Will Ferry got injured a few years back after colliding with the hoardings in the PRE.
Years ago the hoarding gave way at the PRE and the steward broke his ankle in the crush. Might have been the Bournemouth FA Cup game in 1992 when Christer Warren got that late equaliser?
